Musicians fly into Austin for SXSW

Musicians are flying into Austin getting ready to take the stage at South by Southwest. “It’s just really inspiring seeing people really living their dream,” said musician Em Brownlowe. “It sounds cheesy and stuff, but people just come for a good time and just share their art and their music.”
As musicians are making their way into town, guests and speakers at the Interactive conference are leaving. The tech-fueled portion of SXSW ends Tuesday evening. Film will continue as the music portion begins.

You may know Rebecca Black as the teenaged YouTube sensation with the viral hit, “Friday.”
The tune described an eighth grader getting ready for the weekend, and the video has had a reported 167 million YouTube views. But the earnest clip also prompted death threats against Black, became the target of online derision, mocking parodies and ridicule from late-night comedians.
